Independent Psychology Services

I am an educational psychologist working in Gloucestershire and the surrounding areas. I have been working in education for over 20 years and have a doctorate in educational psychology, with my thesis being on the topic of children telling their story after someone important has died. Prior to training as an educational psychologist, I was a primary school teacher.

I have previously worked for a local authority before setting up my private business. In addition, I have also worked for Winston's Wish, a national child bereavement charity, based in Gloucestershire.

I have experience of, and interest in, many areas of educational psychology including: childhood bereavement; trauma; attachment; social and emotional skills; self-esteem; memory skills; autism; developing resilience; and dyslexia.

I am a registered practitioner psychologist with the health and care professions council, as well as being a chartered psychologist with the British Psychological Society. In addition, I am a member of the Association of Educational Psychologists and follow the guidelines as set out by these professional organisations.
